They are made entirely by hand with sculptural qualities including the use of mixed metals, a hand-hammered surface and hand-punched perforations in the form of letters. We love the irregularities in the hand hammered aged steel heads in contrast to the smooth brass handles. Holding each spoon in your hand truly allows you to enjoy the sculpted nature of the forms. Sip, serve or simply decorate with these artful pieces.

View the whole collection here.

Alphabet Spoon was curated by Stevenson Aung

Designer/Maker

Maker: Mitsuhiro Konishi

Designer: Mitsuhiro Konishi

Specifications

Dimensions:

1.4” (w) x 5.2” (l) x 0.5” (h) or

35mm (w) x 132mm (l) x 18mm (h)

Weight:

1.2 oz or 34 g

Materials:

Brass, Stainless Steel

Details

Made in Okinawa, Japan

Composed of two metal components – A brass handle and steel head joined together with rivets

Spoons feature punched holes in the shape of letters

Hand wash only with mild soap and soft sponge

Do not wash in dishwasher

Dry with soft cloth after washing

Each spoon is individually handcrafted by a solo artisan.
