The original design has its source in the floral patterns of Arita ware, Japanese porcelain made in Saga Prefecture during the late 17th century. This rich history is a huge part of Jicon, who aims to bring the tradition of porcelain ware into modern times. The memorable floral design reimagined by designer Masanori Oji is hand-carved by the artisans of Jicon into white Amasuka Touseki clay.
