In this case, each paperweight is made of a small stack of around four recycled works from her "standard series". The shards are remelted, then transformed into the paperweight by hand-chamfering and shaving into jewels that have unique blue tones and shapes much like gems you would find in the natural world.

Reclaimed Blue Jewelry Cut Paperweight was curated by Angélique Chmielewski

Designer/Maker

Maker: factory zoomer

Designer: Kazumi Tsuji

Specifications

Dimensions:

3" (w) x 2.25” (l) x 2" (h) or 7.6cm (w) x 5.7cm (l) x 5cm (h)

Weight:

10.7 oz or 302 g

Materials: Glass

Details

Handmade in Kanazawa, Japan

Sold individually

The paperweight is part of the Reclaimed Blue recycled glass series

Due to the unpredictable results of the Reclaimed Blue series' production process, each order includes one blue paperweight chosen at random which may or may not be seen in our featured images.
