It comes in two materials, stainless steel and wrought-iron. The box was designed with the intention of creating large uninterrupted planes of texture. The scale is determined to showcase the beauty of Narita-san's materials and process, while also serving as a highly functional storage container that acquires new marks and patination with time and use.

The box is hand forged from stainless steel through a process of hammering and firing multiple times in quick succession. The rich texture throughout is caused from the steel cooling at different rates after it's hammered, resulting in a unique finish. This box is perfect for storing delicate or occasional cutlery that needs better protection than a kitchen drawer.

Cutlery Box was created by Takayoshi Narita x Nalata Nalata

Designer/Maker

Designer: Takayoshi Narita x Nalata Nalata

Maker: Takayoshi Narita

Specifications

Dimensions:

4.5” (w) x 10.5” (l) x 2.1” (h) or 11.4cm (w) x 26.7cm (l) x 5.4cm (h)

Weight:

1.5 lb or 680 g

Materials:

Stainless Steel

Details

Handcrafted in Japan

Richly textured hand-forged surface

Each piece is uniquely handcrafted and will have slight variations in dimensions and weight

We recommend hand washing with mild soap and soft sponge when needed

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0194/5843/products/Takayoshi_Narita_Studio_Tint_Nalata_Cutlery_Box_stainless_Steel_Featured_d8edf7cc-782b-4cdf-91c8-64817ab5a610.jpg?v=1539897623
