The chair’s tubular metal frame is salvaged from a discarded kindergarten chair traditionally found in many Japanese classrooms. The low back creates a profile that feels approachable for smaller children, and its lightweight construction makes the chair easy for even a toddler to lift and move. Its seat, backrest and legs are reupholstered in Hender Scheme’s signature raw, vegetable-tanned leather.
